What you will be doing
In this role, you will work across Hydro’s Norwegian organization as a key expert within reward. You will support leaders, HR, finance, and employees, and act as a trusted advisor in reward matters.
An important part of the role is annual salary negotiations with unions, where you will plan, prepare, conduct analysis and scenario evaluations, and be actively involved in the negotiations.
You will also coordinate reward related governance topics toward and act as a Secretary for the Country Board of Norway, ensuring structured decision support and alignment across business areas.
You will report to the Head of GBS HR Norway and work closely with colleagues in the Norway Reward team through daily interaction and collaboration on reward topics, both operational and strategic.
These are some central tasks:
- Drive and support reward activities across Norway, together with the Norwegian Reward team.
- Plan, prepare, and participate in annual union salary negotiations, in collaboration with the labor law team.
- Provide high‑quality support to HRBPs, managers, and employees on reward questions.
- Ensure compliance with Norwegian laws, collective agreements, and internal reward governance frameworks.
- Drive analysis, benchmarking, market reviews, and annual reward cycles.
- Coordinate country‑level reward governance and provide insights for decision‑making.
- Enhance reward processes, documentation, and digital tools.
- Be part of GBS HR Norway management team.
What will make you successful?
- Solid experience within compensation and benefits - 'reward' - in Norway.
- Knowledge of Norwegian labor relations, especially collective agreements and negotiations.
- Analytical, structured, and able to simplify complex topics.
- Strong collaboration skills, professional maturity, and credibility—particularly in union settings.
- Ability to work both independently and in close partnership with HR, managers, payroll, finance, and corporate functions.
- Fluency in Norwegian and strong English skills.
